The Melbourne Supper Club

Just right after the final exam, a friend of mine told me that this place has good dessert especially the sticky date pudding. Being the usual greedy me, the day after exam, I had to make my way to this place which was called 'The Melbourne Supper Club' located on Level 1/161 Spring Street in the CBD.

So right after shopping, we just headed there and I love the way the restaurant is decorated although it looks a little old. Classic design.
Looks pretty cozy and comfy

So there was I, sitting near the window sit , solo shot and looking much more energetic after three weeks or studying home. Anyway back to topic. My friend said that she really like the sticky date pudding so we order that and also a lemon tart.

For the drinks, we had the typical drink.
Lemon Lime Bitter :)

The presentation might not look so pleasing but it taste extremely good. I totally love both of them. Well, we all know we have to eat it when it's hot and when it was first serve, I was afraid I would burn my mouth. That is why we have the ice cream there so it makes it not that hot. The caramel sauce went perfectly well with it and it was just perfect. Not too sweet not too hot , just simply delicious.

As for the Lemon tart, it was really good as well. It wasn't too sour of a tart and it gives you the urge to take one mouth after another. When I first try to cut the pastry, it was extremely hard and I was thinking to myself, this wouldn't be good. Surprisingly despite it being so hard, it was actually extremely crispy and goo. It was indeed a good place with a nice environment. Totally would go back there again and try other food when I am back in Melbourne :)

Ski Trip, Falls Creek

One of my most recent trips when I was back to Melbourne for the second semester was to Falls Creek for ski. I know ski and me don't go together because I am really bad when it comes to  sports. Nevertheless, I wanted to know how is it like. Maybe it could one of the sports that I can manage? It wasn't really a convienient trip as I was sick at that time. Don't if it was because of haze back in Malaysia or my body could take two flights of total 21 hours in two days. Yes, I flew back from London and then back to Melbourne, rest about 3 days before hitting off to Falls Creek. If I had the chance to do it again , I won't. It was exhausting and took me a week to recover from all of it.

Anyway, we left on a Friday midnight and reaching the place in the morning. Stop by at McD at 3am for some early breakfast. I slept too much that day so I did not sleep the bus ride and was awake up till 5.30am. When I finally manage to sleep in for an hour or more, we were suppose to get down already. And it was soooooo cold. Had to carry our luggage in the snow and climb up a flight of stairs before we reach our accomodation. Thank god one of the people who went helped me. Couldn't have carry it all the way up for sure :(

Selfie before heading down the bus to our accomodation at 7 am
And not to forget snowwwwwwww. It so pretty and white. Compare to the one I saw in China, the snow here is much cleaner. Probably because it was already melting in China that time. But yeah, it says 'Welcome to Falls Creek' and it was also where our bus got stuck and they had to start tying the chains around the tyres.

We didn't get to put our luggage in our rooms because we were only allowed to check in after 3 or 4 somehow so we put our bags in the storage before heading to the top for ski. Took pretty long to get all the gear and the shoes were so tight then it made it so hard to walk. So we put everything on and had to made our way to the ski lift to the top. The moment I reach the top, I couldn't control and went ski-ing straight down the slope. Honestly. someone pushed me and that's why i went down the slope. It was soo scary but I remember my senior telling me 'If you can't stop, just fall' and that's what I did. Thank god for a friend who helped me back up and then I went for the beginner classes for about two hours and tried to ski on my own at the beginner area. It was actually quite fun when you are able to control but the longest I am in control is 30second. Always had balancing problem so wasn't surprise I could not ski. It was really cold and with my flu it wasn't helping much. The ski boots were really tight and when i took it off, my leg actually had bruises. Being the troublesome and full-of-complain me, I decided to stop ski-ing and went back down to check in into our accommodation. On my way back through the chairlift/ski lift (whatever they call it), I actually fell off the chair but THANK GOD it was just at the start and not when we lifted off the land area down to the mountain. It was so scary but I was safe.

On my second day, I decided to not go ski because I wasn't feeling like going and I din't want to become worse as I was pretty ill (sort-of an good excuse). AND also after i fell down from the lift, I just did not want to. However, my friends rated that fall to be one of the best/funniest fall during our entire ski trip because not only I fell while I was sitting not skiing, I fell flat on my face. It was quite funny to think about it now instead of it being scary.

I totally love my view for the few days where you get to see snow everywhere. It was totally worth the trip even though I did not really enjoy ski-ing. Wu Ping had his arm dislocated as well so I got a buddy to accompany me throughout the day. So, I did my laundry and then decided to go have a walk around the area. It was really cold but I was wrapped up 4 layers so was keeping myself pretty warm. Half way through we got a call from Rebecca that she fell down and needed us to get her so we went up the mountains to help her. I swear the moment sat on the ski life I was praying I did not fall off because it was so scary. This time, I had two body guard, Wuping and Yue Han.
Selfie on the life up the mountain with the small boy, Yue Han

Mr Lim Wu Ping
I admit I was super scare I dropped my phone but still insisted on taking photo. Well, this is my life and the only way up to the mountains. Scary isnt it?

My favourite solo picture of the entire trip
Being the vain me, I  had to take photos there so I made Wu Ping help me take a few. Somehow my phone camera was working so well that the photo all look really nice.
Totally love this picture. Would have been perfect if Wu Ping did not close his eyes.

Had to get a photo with me geared up the equipment because I didn't on the first day but hey, looks cool wehy
That night we went for the husky show. It was so cold that we did not finished watching and came back half way. Our legs were freezing and the moment we reach the apartment, we immediately dip our legs in the bath tub filled with hot water before having dinner. The funny thing about dinner that night was that we bought all the ingredient to cook spaghetti except for the spaghetti and we ended but using indo mee as the noodles. To our surprise, it did not taste that bad. In fact, the boys were really good cooks and we enjoyed the meal a lot.

It was sad that the two days trip ended so quickly but it was time to back to uni and study. I would say it was a great trip. Beautiful place and our accommodation was nice as well. I definitely don't mind going back there again and give ski-ing another try =)

Madame Tussauds, London

It's been almost 8 months since I blog eh. One of my new year resolution was to make an effort to travel to as many places as I can. Well, I am proud to say I managed to make my way to London for the winter break. However, wasn't for holiday but a summer school in London School of Economics. It was quite an hectic 3 weeks but I arrived about four days earlier with my parents so I manage to wonder around the city. Initial plan was to at least be able to go Paris or either Venice but had to study (yes, i am a nerd). Didn't want to just pass but wanted to ace the subject. Anyway, I've managed to go to a few places and yayy.. I went Madame Tussaud on Baker Street.

Ever since young, I can't remember how old I was but young, I always see photos people (friends and family) taking photo with celebrity and I was thought it was real but it was actually wax figure. When I knew, I always wanted to go to the wax museum since then. I have this really childish mind set that if i can't get a photo with the real celebrity or important people, why not a wax figure who actually look 95% alike with them? Well, Sydney actually have one there but since I was in London and who knows when I would go Sydney, might as well visit the one in London then.

Brief Intro about Madame Tussaud before I start spamming the photos then :
"Madame Tussauds is a wax musuem in London with branches in a number of major cities, founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was formerly known as "Madame Tussaud's". It became a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and infamous murders."

It was a waste that I did not manage to get a photo of the building but yeah it look like a big green globe but I did not forget to take a photo of the portrait of the founder. Lucky for that.

Since it was one of the popular tourist attraction places, it was indeed a long wait for me and my mum before we could enter the place. I think we waited for about approximately 2 hours. I guess one of the critics was definitely on the long hours of waiting.

When we finally got in, I took tons of photo and I was so excited when I knew there was Taylor Lautner through the advertisement but somehow his wax figure wasn't there that day :'( one of my major dissapointment there. Anyway, there were many other famous people!

Hugh Jackman a.k.a Wolverineeeeee, favourite X-Men character of all times.

If only it was the real Orlando Bloom, Iwould be just jumping over the moon. Still looking so good even as a wax figure.

With the gorgeous, Emma Watson

 Julia Robert =)

And yes, Johnny Depp was there too and he look so reallll.

One of my favourite singer, Rihanna. Totally love her song 'Take a Bow'
Going backkkk to the past with the geniuses, Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton

Figuring out angles with Sir Isaac Newton and I think I look dumb in this photo. Honestly, my mum was like 'Can you like really pose with them instead of just smiling, go there look at the square box thing' There I went, staring at it trying to figure out if there was anything magical or something interesting in it and then my mum caught the moment. I then said to her 'Mummy, I don't see anything lo just a transparent box. What you see in it?' My mum look at me all speechless and walk away. Then I found out it was actually just a box, my mum wanted a more different pose of photo as you can see all my photos here are just me smiling with the figures.

With the Marvel Superhero, Ironman and Captain America
*Random fact : The suit on Captain America was actually use in the movie according to one of the workers in the museum.

Feeling so honored being able to present award with Britney Spears *syoksendiri*

With Daddy's favourite singer, Elvis

And the famous Michael Jackson

Prince William and Kate, the royal couple and one of my favourite wax figure!

Oh yeah, I met James Bond as well, Would have been great if I could meet the others :DD

Got a photo with Audrey Hepburn during tea time.. hehehee

Known to be the girl with dress flying up, Marilyn Monroe

With the Bruce Willis, always find him so cool and totally love his action movies especially R.E.D

 Terminator in da houseeee

Tom Cruiseeeee

My second favourite photo, with George Clooney looking good and sexy on the couch. Somehow I find him so good looking and its just the wax figure!

 Nicole Kidman

Eventhough I did not manage to see Taylor Lautner but managed to get a photo with Edward Cullen (Twilight) also known as Robert Pattinson. Reminds me of the time when I was all fan girlling over all the twilight cast and totally love the movie and read the books.

With the band, The Beatles

Princess Diana <3

Lastly, MY FAVOURITE PHOTO OF THE DAY : Because it was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Totally love them.

I do have a lot more photos of other wax figure but these are the few i pick up which I particularly like. It was 30pounds a ticket and I think it was totally worth it. Bring me one step closer to the stars even though not the real them. Well, the ticket include a ride around the museum to see other wax figure and also a 4D marvel short video which was really cool. Totally made my day well spent despite the long hours of waiting in the line just to enter. I guess I finally managed to check off something on my to-do-list. I have to say I still want to go to the one in Sydney because they have like favourite Korean Style, Kim Hyun Joong.

I would really be majorly excited if they can add Vampire Diaries cast inside, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrez, Paul Wesley and all the other cast as well. Somehow my gut feeling tell me in no time they will be added. *praying hard*

I felt pretty guilty because my dad was waiting outside for me and my mum because he was really interested in wax museum and he went to his old university to visit only to find his favourite chicken pie store to close down and his university under renovation. We met up after that and went for dinner in Chinatown. My dad could really see I was so happy that day as I have been wanting to go for a longgg time and I am really thankful that my parents allow me to travel to London for studies and at the same time some sightseeing + shopping. Love you, Daddy Mummy!

More to come about the places I visit when I am free to blog again.

Okay, I think I have spend an amount of time procrastinating and time to get back to work for my midsems next week.
