Madame Tussauds, London

It's been almost 8 months since I blog eh. One of my new year resolution was to make an effort to travel to as many places as I can. Well, I am proud to say I managed to make my way to London for the winter break. However, wasn't for holiday but a summer school in London School of Economics. It was quite an hectic 3 weeks but I arrived about four days earlier with my parents so I manage to wonder around the city. Initial plan was to at least be able to go Paris or either Venice but had to study (yes, i am a nerd). Didn't want to just pass but wanted to ace the subject. Anyway, I've managed to go to a few places and yayy.. I went Madame Tussaud on Baker Street.

Ever since young, I can't remember how old I was but young, I always see photos people (friends and family) taking photo with celebrity and I was thought it was real but it was actually wax figure. When I knew, I always wanted to go to the wax museum since then. I have this really childish mind set that if i can't get a photo with the real celebrity or important people, why not a wax figure who actually look 95% alike with them? Well, Sydney actually have one there but since I was in London and who knows when I would go Sydney, might as well visit the one in London then.

Brief Intro about Madame Tussaud before I start spamming the photos then :
"Madame Tussauds is a wax musuem in London with branches in a number of major cities, founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud and was formerly known as "Madame Tussaud's". It became a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and infamous murders."

It was a waste that I did not manage to get a photo of the building but yeah it look like a big green globe but I did not forget to take a photo of the portrait of the founder. Lucky for that.

Since it was one of the popular tourist attraction places, it was indeed a long wait for me and my mum before we could enter the place. I think we waited for about approximately 2 hours. I guess one of the critics was definitely on the long hours of waiting.

When we finally got in, I took tons of photo and I was so excited when I knew there was Taylor Lautner through the advertisement but somehow his wax figure wasn't there that day :'( one of my major dissapointment there. Anyway, there were many other famous people!

Hugh Jackman a.k.a Wolverineeeeee, favourite X-Men character of all times.

If only it was the real Orlando Bloom, Iwould be just jumping over the moon. Still looking so good even as a wax figure.

With the gorgeous, Emma Watson

 Julia Robert =)

And yes, Johnny Depp was there too and he look so reallll.

One of my favourite singer, Rihanna. Totally love her song 'Take a Bow'
Going backkkk to the past with the geniuses, Albert Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton

Figuring out angles with Sir Isaac Newton and I think I look dumb in this photo. Honestly, my mum was like 'Can you like really pose with them instead of just smiling, go there look at the square box thing' There I went, staring at it trying to figure out if there was anything magical or something interesting in it and then my mum caught the moment. I then said to her 'Mummy, I don't see anything lo just a transparent box. What you see in it?' My mum look at me all speechless and walk away. Then I found out it was actually just a box, my mum wanted a more different pose of photo as you can see all my photos here are just me smiling with the figures.

With the Marvel Superhero, Ironman and Captain America
*Random fact : The suit on Captain America was actually use in the movie according to one of the workers in the museum.

Feeling so honored being able to present award with Britney Spears *syoksendiri*

With Daddy's favourite singer, Elvis

And the famous Michael Jackson

Prince William and Kate, the royal couple and one of my favourite wax figure!

Oh yeah, I met James Bond as well, Would have been great if I could meet the others :DD

Got a photo with Audrey Hepburn during tea time.. hehehee

Known to be the girl with dress flying up, Marilyn Monroe

With the Bruce Willis, always find him so cool and totally love his action movies especially R.E.D

 Terminator in da houseeee

Tom Cruiseeeee

My second favourite photo, with George Clooney looking good and sexy on the couch. Somehow I find him so good looking and its just the wax figure!

 Nicole Kidman

Eventhough I did not manage to see Taylor Lautner but managed to get a photo with Edward Cullen (Twilight) also known as Robert Pattinson. Reminds me of the time when I was all fan girlling over all the twilight cast and totally love the movie and read the books.

With the band, The Beatles

Princess Diana <3

Lastly, MY FAVOURITE PHOTO OF THE DAY : Because it was Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Totally love them.

I do have a lot more photos of other wax figure but these are the few i pick up which I particularly like. It was 30pounds a ticket and I think it was totally worth it. Bring me one step closer to the stars even though not the real them. Well, the ticket include a ride around the museum to see other wax figure and also a 4D marvel short video which was really cool. Totally made my day well spent despite the long hours of waiting in the line just to enter. I guess I finally managed to check off something on my to-do-list. I have to say I still want to go to the one in Sydney because they have like favourite Korean Style, Kim Hyun Joong.

I would really be majorly excited if they can add Vampire Diaries cast inside, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrez, Paul Wesley and all the other cast as well. Somehow my gut feeling tell me in no time they will be added. *praying hard*

I felt pretty guilty because my dad was waiting outside for me and my mum because he was really interested in wax museum and he went to his old university to visit only to find his favourite chicken pie store to close down and his university under renovation. We met up after that and went for dinner in Chinatown. My dad could really see I was so happy that day as I have been wanting to go for a longgg time and I am really thankful that my parents allow me to travel to London for studies and at the same time some sightseeing + shopping. Love you, Daddy Mummy!

More to come about the places I visit when I am free to blog again.

Okay, I think I have spend an amount of time procrastinating and time to get back to work for my midsems next week.

Beauty and The Beast on CW : Should They ReNew or Cancelled?

So the title says it all. Beauty and the beast. Well, this isn't the fairytale of Belle and the beast but this is a Sci-Fi series which was new to CW. It started airing on 2012 and it's halfway through season 2.

I recently came across it so I started watching it. It's not really a fairytale story anymore. It's about a guy name Vincent Keller who enlisted as a soldiers and became an experiment to create super soldiers. This experiment were done by Muirfield. Well, these scientists alter their DNA so they become faster and stronger. Their DNA now consist of cross spesies DNA. These soldiers went out of hand turning to beasts that was hard to be controlled. The experiment were cancelled and all those who was involved was killed. Vincent survived it and went into hiding.

Even though he was a beast, he used it to his advantage to help people. One of it was to save Catherine Chandler when she was younger. Muirfield killed her mum in front of her but lucky for her Vincent was there to keep her safe. She then become a cop to hunt her mum's killer which she then meet Vincent again 10 years later. She was desperate for answer and started asking Vincent to helped her. Somehow he did not push her away and they ended up falling in love. They started solving crimes together while Muirfield was hunting them both.

Season 1, it was really romantic. The dance, the rooftop and I love how they are both in action fighting. It's kinda cute in a way. It does get a bit annoying when they repeat lines of how Catherine was always saying 'all I want is to be with you' or 'you have me and that's all you need' sort of stuff. I do love it when they are together cause they are cuddly and sweet. And Catherine is sooooo pretty!
I do think they really are a good match. Season 1 was good, it's not the type of shows where u get bored of watching. Besides all the lovey dovey things going on, we do get actions and crime to solve. It's hard to get bored of it. The saddest part for me for season 1 was Evan dying to save Catherine. He was a forensic doctor in NYPD who gave Muirfield tips on catching Vincent because he thought he was protecting Catherine.

I also love how Catherine and Tess were partner and had their conflict. Eventhough Tess was really mad at Catherine hiding so many things from her but because she cared for her, she put her hands into their matter and try to make Cat is safe. So the story wasn't really focus on just her and Vincent.

JT was Vincent best friend and I love his character. His character reminds me of Birkoff in Nikita. The funny character who always makes jokes even in tense situation.

Season 2 was a change of story. After Vincent was captured, they reprogram him and make him go on mission killing all other beasts. Terminating Muirfield once and for all. Turn out the mastermind behind this was Catherine's birth dad, Bon Reynolds. Vincent Lost his memory and there goes their love story and all their hardwork fighting together.

I really did not like Tori because she was like the bad influence for Vincent and I blame her for their breakup. Season 2 Vincent was more like the terminator. Scary. There was less about their love story which was sad.

I still think the story was good. I don't think CW should cancelled it. They cancelled secret circle after season 1. This show survived the first season. I know the ratings dropped badly for season 2. There are rumours that they would be canceling it. Nooooooooo. I don't want it to be cancel cause I love this series. Reasons they should not cancelled it:

1. They actually won this year people's choice award for favourite Sci-Fi /Fantasy TV show. Proven people do watch this shows and don't want it to be cancelled.

2. It has a good storyline and I believe it has the potential to be a hit.

3. Kristin Kruek and Jay Ryan are actually good in their roles and I love their character in the shows. I think they deserve a chance to proof that they can do better.

Not to mention Kristin Kruek actually beat Nina Dobrez and won Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress. Either way, I love both of their actress and I hope BATB can do as well as The Vampire Diaries.

Jay Ryan (Vincent Keller) he is good looking and hot. Gotta say he has a nice body indeed :)

Honestly, this is what I think about the show. I really love it and don't want it cancelled. Those of you who haven't watch it can give it a try. :) I definitely hope CW would renew it and do not leave Season 2 hanging.

Penang Food Adventure

Mini getaway to Penang before my brothers start schooling again. Gotta say I am so excited because I haven't been here for awhile. Anyway, these are the top few favourite and famous shops I visited in Penang this time.

1. Air Itam Asam Laksa

The old man above is the maker of this mouthwatering Asam laksa. He totally own it. I am usually not a fan of Asam Laksa but this is really good. I don't fancy spicy food but this bowl was good enough to keep me eating despite the burning feeling in my mouth.

The soup was thick and full of flavour with the shredded fish. There is lot of vegetables and they taste good all together. The price a bowl was RM4.00 which was reasonable. It was quickly served and there wasn't much waiting. Definitely should try this out. :)

2. Siam Road Char Kuay Teow

One of my favourite food is Char Kuay Teow. This is one of the few famous Char Kuay Teow in Penang. I personally still prefer the Lorong Selamat Char Kuay Teow. The unique thing of this store which differentiate them from others is that it uses charcoal as their main source of fire.

This plate contain variety ingredient such as the prawns, Chinese sausage, bah Yu pok (not sure what is it called in English), si ham and also vegetables. Only for RM5.50 for large The small one is RM4.00. It was a good plate of Char Kuay Teow despite it being a bit too oily. The prawn is crunchy and everything was just well done, not over cooked.

Be warned that the waiting time for it is long. I waited almost an hour before it came but for me, it was worth it as it was a good plate. If you are also looking for good coffee, you can order it at the restaurant where the food is served. They have really good coffee. :)

Siam Road, Penang

3. Kheng Pin Cafe

The best Lobak everrrrrr. I have been eating here for years since I was really really young. The taste has never downgrade in fact it kept on taste better. It's quite often when a store become famous, they always become less tastier but this store has never had that.

Doesn't it look good ? Have to admit my camera is not really good. But I like how he doesn't over fry it and it taste just good. Crispy and delicious. Dipping into their homemade sauce just make it perfect. Whoever goes to Penang must definitely try this out.

4. Char Kuey Teow at Lorong Selamat

The Lady Boss and her daughter in action. :) When I first went there, the lady boss was really fierce but after a few times she actually smile and was in a good. Be sure to be there after 11am if you want the Char Kuey Teow cook by her because her sister is usually cooking there before 11am.

Her Char Kuey Teow taste really good, I remember waiting for 1hr 30 minutes but if you are there early probably won't be that long. Her shrimp are big and crunchy and goes with the Kuey Teow. Although it's a bit stingy on the Chinese Sausage but you can request on adding on. The ingredient that makes is nice is that it contains a pickle vegetables called 'chai po'. It as extra taste to the Kuey Teow. Overall, I find this plate full of flavour and it's my favourite char Kuey Teow so far.

5. Hameed Pata Mee Rebus & Goreng / Mee Sotong

This is pretty far from where I stayed but decided to try something different. There was a lot people queuing for it so it should be popular. It's located near Fort Cornwallis.

Hameed Pata Mee Rebus

Hameed Pata Mee Goreng

They have two choices, one is the mee is boiled, a bit soupy and the other one fried. However, both plate were really spicy. So those who like spicy food would probably enjoy it. I had some but because it was really spicy so I did not eat much. However, I sort of like it because when I first ate it, it was sweet and sour then only it turn spicy. I guess the sauce is sweet while it was spicy due to the sotong. My brother said it was good as he likes spicy food. The price range from RM4.00 to RM6.00 so it was quite reasonable. Definitely could give it a try.

6. Gani Famous Pasembur

Another long queue stall. This was also located near fort Cornwallis but the other food court. My brother suggested to eat Pasembur so I started googling where is good and a lot of people recommended to come here.
Their variety of ingredient that you get to choose from. But it's better to choose what u really like and not everything because it's going to cost you a bump.

It does look good isn't it? It taste equally good too. It's a big plate but in about 5 minutes it was already empty. My favourite part of this dish was the nutty sauce. It was sweet and not too spicy. It goes well with the ingredient. I would suggest to pick ingredient that are actually Rojak ingredient instead of just sausages, or fishball. However, I would say it is actually expensive because that plate cost me RM26.00.

New Year Resolution

Happy New Year, People!

Out with the old, In with the New. Welcoming 2014 with open arms (despite the fact I am turning 20), curious to see what's ahead of me and what I am going experience this year. So, usually I don't have much New Year Resolution so I pretty much go through the year just hoping to score good results and living healthy together with friends and family. However, this year I actually have a list of New Year Resolution. It's sad to say that my teenager years are over. The number 2 has taken over 1 which also indicates I would start acting like an adult. Since I did not really achieve much or done much in my teens, I want to make my twenties awesome! =D

Anyway back to my new year resolution :

1. Be more of an outgoing person and starting getting active in social life. I realized last year in university I barely socialize and mostly stayed home. This year, I want it to be different, gotta start meeting more new friends and learn their cultures.

2. Be a better person that will be look up by the society. Have to get rid of all the bad habits and character of mine and start building a better personality.

3. Make sure to get good grades in my second year and maintain them.

4. My English is bad. So, I would really want to improve on that.

5. Do a student exchange program somewhere outside Australia. (my chance of getting to visiting new places, well of course, I will study and enjoy at the same time) Like they say, study hard, play equally hard!

6. Travel to as many places as I can. Fulfilling my dream of travelling around the world.

7. Being a more mature, no more being a childish girl. Time to think and act maturely!

8. Be a better daughter and friends to my friends and family.

9. Improve on my badminton, making sure I know how to smash (I will be relying on Jonathan a lot)

10. Food adventure. Taste as many good food as I can. Warning that I have to make sure to maintain my weight!

11. You Only Live Once (YOLO). Have to get the guts to go for extreme activities such as diving, parasailing, bungee jumping and cliff jumping.

12. Live life to the fullest. Whatever happens, stay positive and always think on the bright side.
'Every cloud has a silver lining' there is always be a good thing even when things go bad.

Hopefully, I would be able to achieve all these because if I do, I am pretty sure I am gonna have an awesome year ahead of me. Looking forward on what's coming! =D

Live wild and free while we are young!
